6063 Aluminium Alloy

6063 Aluminium Alloy

Aluminium alloy 6063 is a medium strength alloy with magnesium and silicon as the alloying elements. Commonly referred to as an architectural alloy, it has good mechanical properties, a good surface finish and high corrosion resistance. 6063 aluminium is heat treatable readily and weldable and can be easily anodised. Most commonly available as T6 temper, in the T4 condition it has good formability.

Alloy 6063 is normally used in intricate extrusions, architectural applications, irrigation tubing, doors, window frames , roofs, and sign frames. It is supplied as standard extrusions including tee, channel, angle and flat bar as well as box section and tube.
